OK, I've settled on a working title and basic premise. Using the symbolism of seasonal decay, a middle-aged man grappling with his own mortality flies home for a funeral and confronts both the reality of death and the unreality of lingering regrets of his youth as he revisits the haunts where the ghosts of his youth now taunt him. You know, a comedy. I've now got ten days to chart out a plot outline, characters and the basic structure I'll follow. Piece of cake. Didn't Joyce write Ulysses in one sitting?

Wow, really looking forward to reading yours. Will you be posting daily?
Yes, starting Nov. 1 I'll be posting at least once a day and probably more often. I'll be dividing chapter headings and chapters into separate posts and then editing thwm to add to them until a chapter is finished. So even if you've seen the beginning of a post already, go to the bottom to see if new material has been added. Thanks for your interest.
